Thurs. 10.18.18 – I have fallen in love with my Nikon 300mm f/4 prime lens that I recently obtained, it truly is a delight of a long reach lens. The photos it takes are clear, the lens is light and easy to hand hold on my Nikon D850 camera.
I was twenty plus feet away from this Yellow-pine Chipmunk and I still got a good set of photos, albeit a bit de-saturated, with this lens through a heavily tinted dusty window.

Mon 10.14.16 – In going through my photos taken in October and November 2016 with my Nikon D800 and a Nikon 50mm f/1.4G lens, I have found a few gems to share with you all. This photo was taken on 10.06.16 just south of the Huntington Beach pier from the boardwalk on an evening where the colors of the sunset were fantastic, so I had to pull over while driving on PCH to go out and take photos.
Enjoy. Double click for larger version(s).

Mon 01.03.11 – This afternoon I helped my sister and mom pick up Allison’s new used Prius at the Penske Toyota dealership in Santa Margarita, as we drove to south east Orange County the rain clouds opened up and blue sky peeped through an avocado grove. It was beautiful.
By the time I got home, it was time for Scruffy’s evening walk and off we went. Only two and half hours from the time I took the first photo in the Orange County hills, it was cloudy and ominous in north west oceanic OC. As we set out for our walk, the sun will finished setting and the last refracting blue light of dusk was shooting through the clouds at odd angles on top of the yellow cast street light bouncing off the houses.

Fri 12.24.10 – Sunny, folks! Bright and shiny clean sunny. The storm has moved out and Mom and I went for a walk down to River’s End. You can see in the far background, Mt. Baldy with snow on it. It is the day after a winter’s storm that make living in LA/SoCal worth it, at least until the first good heat wave.

Mon 12.13.10 – Ms. Jen happy as can be to have friends visiting from a far.
