Mon 10.14.16 – In going through my photos taken in October and November 2016 with my Nikon D800 and a Nikon 50mm f/1.4G lens, I have found a few gems to share with you all. This photo was taken on 10.06.16 just south of the Huntington Beach pier from the boardwalk on an evening where the colors of the sunset were fantastic, so I had to pull over while driving on PCH to go out and take photos.

Sun 11.13.16 – Late this afternoon, I drove down to the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve Station at the corner of Bolsa Chica Ave and Pacific Coast Highway to take photos of the Almost Super Moon as it rose in the late 4 o’clock hour. After all the photos were taken, I drove to the Huntington Cliffs parking lot at the top of Dog Beach to take photos of Mars, Venus, and Mercury in the last of the dusk. Afterwards, I walked Belle le Cane along the Cliffs. It was a lovely start to the evening.

Wed 07.20.16 – While it was very hot at the Huntington Library and Gardens today, it was still a very beautiful day, especially at the lily ponds.
Thurs 06.09.16 – Photo of the Red Hill Cinder Cone and the northern sky with Cassiopeia the Constellation taken by Ms. Jen with her Nikon D800 and a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 G lens.
Sun 01.31.16 – On our Sunday drive this afternoon, I pulled over at the Echo Point vista point on the Parker Dam Road – California side – and rolled down the window so that I could take photos of the burros across the road. Scruffy used this opportunity to sit in my lap and watch a young burro standing directly across the road – a stare down between canine and equine proceeded.

Fri 10.09.15 – Yesterday morning we had a pre-dawn cloudy conjunction of the waning crescent moon with Venus, this morning’s pre-dawn show was the Moon in a triangle with Mars and Jupiter.
