Wed. 11.06.19 – After writing yesterday’s blog post, I was quite happy with the whole post and went off to bed. I woke up at 3am after a bad dream with an upset tummy and quite worried.
So, I did two things:
1) Took some Tums.
Now that Zantac has been pulled off the market, my go to 3am sour stomach meds are a revolving door of new tries.
Tums was a VERY BAD IDEA.
First off, it did not settle my stomach. It made it much worse. At 7am I jettisoned out of bed to have even more digestive excitements. Then my brain said, “Why would tummy meds give you the trots?”
Oh, let’s google if Tums is gluten free.
And… It is not. Thus, the Celiac’s Revenge.
I will be very excited when Zantac 75mg is back out on the market, as it works for me to settle my stomach and it gets rid of my hives.
2) After taking the Tums, I spent the hour between 3 and 4 am worrying that a variety of bad things would happen if I left yesterday’s blog post as is.
While I did not write where this happened, it is a place that I frequent often and don’t want it go sour if Old Creepy Guy makes things difficult if he googles my name and finds the blog post. Or the manager of the place gushes about my photos again and says my name.
So, I edited it to take out the detail with sleep blurred eyes; which then killed the irony and the black humor of the whole thing.
As I laid back down to go back to sleep, I got mad at myself that I was caving into the good girls make it easy for creepy dudes to keep creeping.
In the end, I decided that the on going safety of myself at the location in question was more important than a black humor #metoo blog post.
Tues. 11.15.16 – I am still sick with the flu/evilvirus/snotmachine/nauseathing. I am still sad. Sad about Scruffy – I keep calling Belle Scruffy even though she is a different breed, taller, bigger, not Scruffy, etc. Still sad/mad about our election of the Narcissist-in-Chief.
I will have more substantial thought posts when I am not being attacked by the evilvirus.
Sat 07.30.16 – With less than 300 miles before my beloved BLKPHBE the Prius turns 200,000 miles, the red triangle of death showed up today in the middle of Beach Blvd. The warning signals from the car forced it to Neutral and I had to restart the car much to the road rage distress of other drivers behind me to engage the car into drive to pull over to a gas station. An hour and a half later, the nice folks from AAA sent a tow truck and off we went the 14 miles to Toyota of Huntington Beach just before the Service Department closed up for the day. I will have to wait until Monday to hear what the problem is.
Notice to all readers: This blog is having May 2009 NaBloPoMo FAIL.
Sorry but it is true.
What in the heck am I supposed to write about sweet that isn’t sticky and slightly silly? I am not a big dessert eater, so I don’t have 31 posts about sugar or honey or agave syrup in me. I can only make so many puns/badbadbadjokes based off the Northeastern US slang “Sweeeeeeet!”, I did it for the first couple of days subtly and felt a bit gross for doing so. Then for a few days, I just posted mobile photos from my camera phone, because I am darned happy to be back on my Nokia N95 that has Nokia’s great but now discontinued mobile blog software, Lifeblog, on it.
After a very long week with lots of out of town visitors, I now sit before my laptop burnt out. Not sleepy but at the very end of my energy reserves.
Yes, Mother’s Day was nice, but yesterday hanging out all day with my Mom, working on my garden, and going to Dog Beach with Mom & Bird & Scruffy & Magnus was better. Tammy is still very pregnant and the baby has not come. I am still overwhelmed with work and will try to get the two big projects wrapped up before departing for Alex & Paige’s wedding in Hawaii next Sunday.
((Is even more burnt out thinking about the next 7 days))
I do have one sweet thing to blog about: The Nokia N79, just sent back to the NYC Nokia folk, really is a sweet little machine.
Other than that, I may not be able to make another 21 days of sweet posts. Gah.
