Tues. 10.24.23 – One of the completely unheralded parts about being over age seven or even twelve is the lack of celebrating one’s half birthday.
Happy Half Birthday to Me! Today, I am fifty five and a half years old. Yes, 55.5 years old.
To celebrate, my Mom, Sweet Pea, and I went for an autumnal drive through the June Lake Loop, lunch at the Lee Vining / Hwy 120 Mobile Station Whoa Nelly Deli, and then we drove up to Yosemite National Park via the East Side Hwy 120 through Tuolumne Meadows to Lake Tenaya before taking a walk along the lake front sidewalk (!!!), taking photos, and then returning back the other way.
Both of us love the High Eastside Country of Yosemite National Park, particularly in the autumn when it is cold, calm, and very few people. The land was sweet and so was the sky.
